Classic Wardrobe Staples

Every woman’s closet is different but there are a few wardrobe staples that we should all have in our arsenal. Pieces that are timeless, versatile and you can rely on in case of an “outfit emergency.” These pieces serve a multitude of functions and if you’re building a capsule wardrobe then these are definitely some pieces that you should own if you don’t already. See what our classic wardrobe staples are and consider adding them to your own collection.

Simple, but essential, our first item is a classic white t-shirt. Consider purchasing a few in different fits and styles so you have some versatility. This is an essential item because it goes with practically everything you own and can be dressed up or down with an added blazer or denim jacket.

Our next item isn’t too far off but is in the same genre as far as tops go: the white button down. This is another classic staple that serves all the same functions as the white tee and looks great on everyone.

Next, you need a good pair of denim jeans. A good pair of jeans can be worn with just about anything but ok for a pair that fits well and is comfortable to wear. Dark denim is great for a more dressed up look and a lighter wash is great for a more casual style. If there’s any item you take away from this list to purchase ASAP, it’s the “little black dress.”

The classic LBD is a timeless dress that can be worn to any occasion. It's perfect for a night out, a wedding, or a cocktail party and is a safe option in the classic case of having nothing to wear. Which of these items do you already own and which ones are you purchasing? Let us know!
