Cutting It Close
After years of oversized denim ruling our closets, jeans are beginning to move a little closer again.
But don’t panic—we’re not talking about the spray-on skinnies of the past. The new close-cut jean follows the shape of the leg without clinging to it. Think rigid denim, clean lines and a slim-straight or cigarette silhouette that feels polished rather than restrictive.
The secret is balance. Pair narrower jeans with something slightly boxy or sculptural on top: a cropped jacket, relaxed knit or oversized leather layer. Then add a pointed shoe to continue that long, streamlined line.
