Whimsical Journeys

We’ll all agree that now is the worst time to be in a show hole … or book hole … or any such dessert of amusement. Truth is, while we’ve been forced to slow down and spend more time inside, we’ve listened to, watched, read … consumed more creativity than ever before. We’ve really come to rely on these muses and sensory escapisms at a time when reality is pressing. Halsey on my sound waves reminds me of the good ol’ days cruising down Sunset Boulevard, music pulsing, with the breeze blowing against my face. (Take me back!). Reading the Rings of Saturn takes me back to the most enchanting trip to England a few summers ago, meandering through the quaint countryside and visiting the Roman baths. And sometimes, I really get that travel itch and my spirit just wants to burst out and run free … into the wild depths of adventure … some way some how.

The beauty of your imagination is that it can travel one thousand miles without you ever leaving a room. And to be honest, since the day I discovered this, I have always lived life with one foot in reality and the other in my imaginary worlds. And so, in the spirit of adventure and imagination-inducing escapades, we’ve curated a few of our favorite films that will take you on whimsical journeys of sorts, right from your couch. Enjoy!
