It’s probably because these hats have been around for decades and are advertised for their function as opposed to their fashion.

Bucket hats have long been the go-to for sun protection but their usual canvas material has made them seriously a thing of the past. Recently, they’ve gotten a chic upgrade that makes us want to add a few to our collection for summer. We’re really into Prada’s denim bucket hat with their signature logo as well as MCM’s leather options as well. Burberry has the amazing talent of using their signature check logo on all of their accessories and garments and their version of the bucket hat is no exception.
We are also loving how crochet has made its way into the hat world and both Tory Burch and Memorial Day have some really chic colorways available just in time for summer.
The wide brimmed floppy hat has long been a favorite when hitting the beach or the pool. This summer we want to shop for hats that are of course protective of the sun but also complement our style.
Blending function and fashion doesn’t have to be difficult with so many stylishly chic options on the market. We also like the combination of the visor and straw wide brimmed hats that cast the perfect amount of shadow for facial protection.
