THIS THAT AND THE OTHER?
A quick check-in conversation between none other, yep you guessed it, Bunny and Kailyn. A quick exchange about everything from current favorite beauty products, accessories and even crystal shops? Sure, we’ll take it so let’s see what they’ve been up to and what they have to say about it.
Beauty
Kailyn: Let me start by saying, it's so good to see you Bunny. I love these chats we have and we actually haven’t had a laid back chat like this in a little while.
Bunny: That’s true! Our last few chats were more focused although our Met Gala chat was very entertaining. Lots to be said, haha!
Kailyn: Yes, it was very “spirited” indeed. HA. So, it looks like we’re starting with beauty. I have to begin with this product I found that I’m hooked on. It’s the ILIA Beauty Multi-Stick Lip, Cheek and Eye Tint. It’s this all-in-one stick that blends so effortlessly and so easy to use. My new holy grail item.
Bunny: You know I haven’t really been into too much face makeup really as of late, but I will say that I’ve been following that “bare face” makeup trend everyone is talking about. So, with that being said, my “holy grail” product has been concealer. Just a dab of the Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Concealer around the eyes, smile lines and nose and I blend and then I’m out the door in minutes.
Wellness
Bunny: Wellness and beauty should really go hand-in-hand. I say this because it’s true that beauty comes from within. Truly, it does! I’ve learned this so what I’ve been doing everyday (or at least I really try to), is to take a few minutes in the morning right after I wake up to just be. To set intentions for my day, to show the universe gratitude and connect with my inner voice. It’s really that simple.
Kailyn: Okay Bunny, I love the way you said that. I have such trouble with meditation but that just sounds so much simpler. It’s important to stay connected and grounded. For me, you know I absolutely love my crystals, so I just went to a crystal shop and picked up Carnelian for self-love and Serpentine for confidence.
Bunny: Here’s an idea: setting intention with your crystals using my morning routine. I think that sounds like an unstoppable combo, don't you think?
Accessories
Bunny: We say this a lot on Style Sonata, that “the devil is in the details,” but it’s so true. Accessories can change the direction of an outfit in a second! Most of the time it's for the better, I believe you can never own too many of them. I love a good scarf. It’s so versatile and the possibilities are endless when it comes to styling.
Kailyn: I totally agree. I don’t own enough unfortunately. I’m lacking in the scarf department.
Bunny: My current scarf on rotation is this gorgeous floral Dries Van Noten Floral Print Silk Blend Scarf. The flowers are so soft and remind me of spring but the colors are rich which is just in time for the fall/winter season. So I call it my “transitional” scarf.
Kailyn: Haha I absolutely love that idea of a transitional accessory. I’d have to say my go-to accessory has been my Balenciaga Cash Logo Leather Cardholder. It's so cute and it’s this powder blue shade which isn’t typically a color I like but it’s so convenient to just grab my phone and my cardholder and not have to bring a purse.
Bunny: Aww it is so cute, I love it! Well, it looks like our time is up for today, but it’s always a pleasure to see what fun things we have to share with each other, so thank you for that.
