The latest trend in beauty? Brace yourselves, “latte makeup.” Yup, now whether you take your Americanos with oat milk or almond is none of our business but how about with your foundation? All jokes aside, this new trend is different from the “strawberry” make up trend or even the “dewy” look. How? Well we think this look is more sensual and sophisticated. It’s definitely a look we want to try when we’re heading out for date night and we also predict that it’s going to be the signature look for the autumn and winter months due to its warm tonal palette. But our favorite aspect of latte makeup? That you really only need three key products to pull this look off and we have ‘em right here for you today.
The key to latte makeup is that it’s very bronze-y all around. So, the first key product you’re going to need is a creamy bronzing stick that you can use to contour your cheeks, forehead and jaw and is hydrating as well so that it blends seamlessly into your skin. Take it a step further and set with a mineral powder bronzer powder for that extra glow. The second crucial product is for your pout. Think “latte” colors like your nudes, but more specifically brown lipsticks and brown lip liners with shiny glosses. For the ultimate lip combo, try a long stay liner that’s one shade darker than your usual neutral, a matte brown lippie and finish with a clear plumping gloss. Finally, the eyes. The one crucial product we recommend is brown mascara. This is the subtle, “cherry on top,” that is going to pull the whole look together. Brown mascara is natural but still enhances and lengthens your lashes in a discreet way and is the perfect tone for our latte palette.
This may be the most classic of the makeup trends thus far and probably our favorite. It’s ideal for autumn with its rich neutral and brown and bronze-y focused palette and feels warm even when the temperatures tell us otherwise.
