Trend Alert

With each changing season comes new trends. Well, they seem new but in reality fashion is a cyclical entity and they’re really just trends coming back around but maybe they’re a bit altered or updated. This winter isn’t any different so we’ve rounded up some shoe trends to keep an eye out for this upcoming winter.

Loafers

Not your typical oxfords or loafers, no, we want loafers with a twist. The Trifecta Platform Loafer from Steve Madden is what we want. This cream colored, platform loafer with the gleaming hardware on the top is just what we’re looking for this winter. This shoe takes you from desk to dinner and maintains that comfort that we all love loafers for . Another fun spin on the classic loafer is from Louise et Cie. The Emlen Chain Loafer is the pastel pink, oversized chain loafer of your dreams. If you’re looking to make a statement with your footwear this winter, this is how you do it.

Perhaps, the “flair” isn’t quite your vibe but the traditional leather loafer is still a bit too drab. That’s totally okay, try something subtle like this Jack Kiltie Fringe Platform Loafer. The subtle shine of the patent leather and the slight platform make this a punk-esque loafer that’s appropriate for work and play.

Boots

Can’t make a list about winter shoes and not include boots. It’s just not possible. We couldn’t help but notice that white and cream colored boots are very hot right now. White hot. So we’re really into this pair of Sam Edelman Olly Knee High Boots. We love the woodgrain block heel and the knee high height is perfect to pair with a midi dress or a skirt and some chic tights.

Another boot silhouette we couldn’t ignore is the cowboy boot silhouette. Boots like this pair of Afelia Knee High Boots from Vince Camuto are the perfect pair. They take everything that is chic about cowboy boots such as the heel and squared off toe and make a boot that has true city appeal.

The combat platform boot trend seems to still be going strong this winter, just as it did last winter so we had to make an honorable mention of the man who does it the best, Jeffrey Campbell. The Tanked Chelsea Boot is a double stacked platform boot that rises just above the ankle and ensures a tall profile for anyone who wears them.

Suede

However impractical wearing suede during the rainy season is, it’s certainly not going to stop us from wearing these J. Lo-esque Schutz Ashlee Slouch Pointed Toe Boots. The perfectly slouchy silhouette and pointed toe make this heeled boot a must have for this winter. If J. Lo can do it, why can’ we?! If a stiletto heel isn’t your deal but you love the idea of suede and a heeled boot then perhaps these Varsan Platform Chelsea Boots would be perfect for you. The chunky heel guarantees all day comfort and the suede is water resistant so you can rock these boots rain or shine - literally.

Another pair of fierce boots from Schutz the Maryana Pointed Toe Boot is a knee high snakeskin take on a pointed toe stiletto heeled boot. This pair of boots is guaranteed to heat up and chilly winter day or night. Don’t get down that summer is over, rather look ahead to all of these fun and fierce winter trends. Happy shopping!
