A Tourist’s Gaze
I’ve decided in this month to try something new. I want to try and live as if I’m a tourist in this wonderful place I call home. San Francisco is home to so many great treasures and although I’ve lived here for many years I’m sure I haven’t yet seen all this city has to offer. There is always some other place we’d “rather” be but if we were to live like a tourist for even a day, the treasures we may find might surprise us. I’ve never walked across the Golden Gate Bridge or fed the ducks by the Palace of Fine Arts. If life is made up of simple experiences then I know there are thousands to be found in this city that so many thousands of people come to visit everyday. So, will you join me, fellow tourists?
