Gen Z Hair 2022

We all have a lot to learn from the Gen Z crowd. It seems that Gen Z trends are some of the fastest growing trends when it comes to fashion, and beauty and I have noticed that their approach to hair is no exception. They’re creative, stylish and some of them are surprisingly easy to recreate on your own with products you most likely already own at home.

Here are some of my favorite Gen Z hair styles that I really like, and I think you might too. In the 80s the hair scrunchie was all the rage and it appears to have made a comeback. Upgrade your bun or ponytail with a satin scrunchie in your favorite color and instantly you’ve got a chic Gen Z approved hairstyle.

Another trend that you can’t not notice is the high ponytail. It’s actually more like a sky-high pony with either a deep side part bang or a middle curtain bang and don’t forget to flip the end of your pony for a 60s-esque flair. Pro tip: a tight pony also serves as a face lift. Who knew?

Finally, a more playful and youthful style to come out of the Gen Z clique is the “space bun” look. Sounds harder than it actually is. Essentially, it’s a middle part with two separate buns right on top of the head. You can wear them sleek or frame your face with delicate tendrils and bangs for a softer look. So, what do you think about Gen Z’s approach to hair? Would you try any of these looks?
