We’re All Fans of Elle Fanning
How can we describe our starlet of conversation this week? Elle Fanning is the ethereal, fairy goddess we all wish could embody. It seems like every time we see her on the red carpet, whether it’s promoting a new project or supporting her superstar sister Dakota, Elle Fanning never seems to miss when it comes to creating memorable fashion moments. Yep, and as you guessed it Bunny and Kailyn sat down to talk about three of the actress’ most impactful looks.
Look One:
B: Okay Kailyn, did you choose this photo? I literally can’t stop laughing - oh my gosh
this is amazing!!!
K: This is the first time I’m seeing this photo Bunny, I have some thoughts...
B: So do I! So do I. The first being, you know what, this was from 2016, so a younger Elle Fanning for sure. You would think I would hate it but I feel like only Elle could wear something this quirky. She kind of does give off grandma, knitting, cat lady vibes, so this works for me.
K: She does have that energy for sure. I’m not crazy about this at all, by any means but I will tell you that it shows me that she’s down to take a risk and she knows how to have fun and just be lighthearted and I love that. So, good job Elle, good job.
Look Two:
K: So this is a much more recent look, from this last year I believe and just like the cat-themed print from before, I feel like this is the elevated, mature (and couture) version of that. I absolutely love this look, she looks so pretty, her hair is amazing and this tribute to Marilyn Monroe Loewe dress is so fantastic!
B: You know what, I love her commitment to a look. She is quite the chameleon, meaning she takes on whatever she’s wearing and it almost feels like a new character. This Marilyn print is fun, but it's also so chic and she’s honoring someone who was so chic and just so talented so it's fitting because Elle is those very same things.
K: I totally agree. It's so fun, it’s such a great brand who’s making such a good name for themselves in fashion and Elle looks so amazing and happy here.
Look Three:
B: Have you seen Elle’s period-piece The Great?
K: Yes I actually have! I absolutely adore that show and can’t wait for the second season. I think I know where you’re going with that Bunny...
B: Yes, you do. This looks like it was directly inspired from that show’s wardrobe! It probably came to think of it. I love this look, she looks like a real life princess. The pink is that “shocking” pink color and the corset detailing is sooo popular these days.
K: You know I love the off-the-shoulder, it is channeling very glamorous Catherine the Great vibes and she just looks so regal. Also, I feel like a gown like this could very easily turn into a “costume” situation, know what I mean? Like, this look is such princess energy and she looks so glamorous. My favorite look on this list and maybe my favorite we’ve ever talked about.
B: I couldn’t agree more. Elle is an underrated fashion influencer and icon.
